Capitol Hill

As a communications intern for the U.S. House of Representatives, I supported the congressman’s messaging across digital and traditional platforms. I drafted columns and constituent letters, created graphics and videos for social media, and wrote internal memos outlining legislative priorities for calls, video recordings, and meetings. I regularly edited and captured photos, compiled daily news clips, and tracked media mentions. I answered hundreds of constituent calls, managed data entry, and attended press events, lectures, and meetings with senators and representatives. I also gave Capitol tours, which required learning and presenting detailed historical and political information.
